Basaev

Басаев уничтожен, basaev eliminato. In un modo o nell'altro, è un'ottima notizia.

Ru, 11 giugno 2006.

Che accadrà?

[...] " For two warm seasons in a row, typically the time of greater fighting, the rebels have made a limited tactical showing. Some have switched sides, leaving the forests to join with Ramzan Kadyrov, the young Chechen prime minister who has aligned with the Kremlin.

Valery Kuznetsov, the senior prosecutor in Chechnya, said the separatists’ weakness had become apparent. “Their combat activity is on the decline, while they surrender in greater quantities,” he said by telephone from Grozny, the capital. "

Gallia

Già allora i germanici stavano a guardare, fuori gioco.

"Marti points to a book called "Great Mambo Chicken," which tells of a scientific experiment in which a researcher put several chickens in a centrifuge and raised them in twice-normal gravity for months at a time. When they emerged, the chickens were stronger and had larger bones and muscles, and greater endurance. In other words, they were superchickens."

A Foreign Affair

A Foreing Affair

[...] "At the first social the next evening, most of the men were already there when I arrived; wearing name tags, they clustered around the bar, as the women—200 of them or more—massed in a long line at the door."

[...]

"The glow from the first social having receded, many of the men found themselves a bit demoralized. A night on the town was one matter, but finding an actual wife was going to be more difficult than they had thought. Many of the women they had met, while friendly enough and certainly accessible for conversation, turned out to have had little or no interest in leaving Ukraine. They had come out to practice their English, or for the free champagne, or simply because they were curious. Even among the ones who had agreed to “date,” many seemed to be in it for little more than a free meal at a nice restaurant they would never be able to afford otherwise." [...]

No! Il programma no!

Io parto avvantaggiato, chiederò a Gustavo, e amen.

Don Contiero

Ronald MacDonald

Ronald AmcDonald

Ronald MacDonald esiste, e vive in Scozia.

"According to the book Fast Food Nation (2001), 96% of school children in the United States can identify Ronald McDonald. Only Santa Claus was more commonly recognized.

Many of the restaurants are decorated with a life-size statue of the clown holding out his hand to greet customers at the entrance, and children love to shake hands with him. Sometimes the figure is sitting on a bench, allowing children to sit next to him or on his lap."

Chupa Chups

Chuoa Chups Abbiamo comprato i Chupa Chups.

Going negative in Messico

Mexico Map

La campagna elettorale in Messico è stata incredibile.

""The whole negative campaigning concept comes to us directly from the US," says Mr. Madrazo of CMM. "You go to these seminars on how to run campaigns and they are filled with Latin Americans ... and then you come home with DVDs and watch ads of some governor in Oklahoma and figure it out."

[...] Mexicans might be obsessed at the moment with Calderón's brother-in-law's finances - but at least they are not focused on election fraud, as has been the case here for decades, says Mr. Guerra. And overall, says the analyst, the intense feelings aroused by the negative campaigning are wonderful. "People are into it. We feel impassioned and we feel we have a stake," he says. "Finally."
