Il Rossiya non c'è più

E così, han tirato giù il Rossiya. Aveva più di tremila stanze ed era una città nella città, perché dentro c'era tutto, dal parrucchiere all'agenzia di viaggio. Anche se già, quando lo vidi io, ne era aperta solo una parte, quella che guardava la Piazza Rossa. E la vedevo, la spianata della piazza, dalla finestra della mia camera, dove passai la mia prima notte in Russia. E quando mi capiterà di tornarvi, in Russia, non so bene dove andrò a dormire.
